Bruce Branch | Prolific Prep | 2027 | Wing | 6’7
Branch was the consensus highest rated player nationally coming into the event, and he showed exactly why with both his production and flashes of upside. A smooth shooter on the wing with great measurables and fluid athleticism, he was able to beat defenders off the dribble consistently to get into the paint, where he used his length and touch to finish in a variety of ways. Posted up and punished smaller defenders in the paint, and showcased his ability to be a disruptor on defense. Doesn’t have a ton of flash to his game, but does things that translate to winning at a high level.
Alex Smith | Prolific Prep | 2026 | Forward | 6’8
The Ohio State commit had some big moments throughout the weekend, shooting well from the perimeter and using his size to bully players inside the arc. His rock solid frame makes him an effective screener, looked good popping off of screens and either pulling or driving to the rim. Has a quick trigger off the catch as a shooter and range extending well beyond the high school line, uses his body well to create separation to get to his shot. He’s versatile defensively, with size and strength to hold his ground in the paint, and mobility to stay in front of perimeter players.
Justin Kayode | DNA Prep | 2026 | Wing | 6’7
For a team that struggled to find a consistent source of offense at times, Kayode did a good job of producing quality looks for himself from scratch. A big, physical wing with a muscular build, he was at his best playing bully ball to get into the paint to either finish at the rim or get to the line. Was able to absorb and play through contact at a high level, also proved to have solid footwork and a handful of countermoves when he had the ball in the post. Rebounded well on both ends, didn’t show a ton outside of the paint but never really needed to settle for tougher looks.
Dylan McGhee | DNA Prep | 2027 | Wing | 6’7
McGhee showed a lot of interesting flashes in a variety of areas off the bench for DNA. The long, athletic wing proved to have real shooting touch, shooting efficiently off the catch from the perimeter and making a handful of difficult looks in the midrange. Looked comfortable operating in the mid post and short corners, backing down defenders before spinning into turnarounds and fadeaways. Was also able to run the floor for easy transition looks. Has some rough edges still, needs to clean up his handle and general awareness on the floor, but the tools are there. Rumblings that he may end up reclassing to 2028 make him even more intriguing.
Tomislav Vukovic | BC Dubai | 2027 | Wing | 6’4
Vukovic was the main source of offense for BC Dubai, and when he was in rhythm, he was a big difference maker on both ends of the floor. Doesn’t have an explosive game but he’s strong and uses his body well to create space for his shot, was able to keep defenders on his hip once he had them beat. Scored from all three levels of the floor off the catch and dribble and was able to maintain control when he was off balance for creative finishes. Spent most of his time on defense guarding the other team’s best perimeter player, did a solid job of making them work to get points.
Ricards Aizpurs | The Star Alliance | 2027 | Wing | 6’6
Aizpurs flashed a lot of intriguing tools on both ends of the floor. A very good vertical athlete with good length, he climbed the ladder for a handful of blocks and rebounds and was able to switch across positions. Offensively he looked good as both a scorer and playmaker, filled it up as a shooter from deep and was able to attack off the dribble to make plays inside. Has real feel as a passer, was a patient decision maker with the ball and rarely tried to force things. One of the highest upside international prospects I saw thanks to his age, skill, IQ and physical traits.
