810 Varsity Showcase – Staley vs Springfield Central

I made my way over to the 810 Varsity Showcase at Oak Park. Up first was Staley taking on the visiting Springfield Central Bulldogs. Central put on as good of a shooting performance as I’ve seen in quite some time. They made 14 – 3’s in the 1st half alone in racking up 46 1st half points. Needless to say, they went on to win this one 80-44.

Park Hill vs NKC Plus Player Evaluations

I caught opening night between North Kansas City and Park Hill last Tuesday. Both teams showed signs of having successful seasons. NKC will pick up where they left off as one of the contenders and top teams in KC. They lost an important piece in Avian Webb put picked up a formidable replacement in Kam Tate from Lincoln (last year). They have all the pieces in size, skill, toughness and experience and I expect them to continue to get better as the season progresses. Not to mention being led by a legendary coach. Park Hill is reloading with some talented young players that didn’t see a lot of action last year with the senior-dominated squad they had. But they are not short of talent. I don’t suspect a lot of teams will want to face Park Hill come January and February.

NxtPro KC Fall Camp: Missouri Standouts, Part 4

NxtPro held their annual camp in Kansas City and 100 hoopers showed up and showed out. Plenty of talent in the gym and many next-level prospects showed exactly why they are projected as college players. In this article and others, I will share some observations and evaluations of those kids from the Missouri side of the city.

NXT Championships – Lincoln: The Top Wings

We had an amazing final event of the season in Lincoln called the NXT Championships. We brought all of our top NXT Teams that qualified from their success during our regular season. At stake were sponsorships and invitations to play on our Pro16 Circuit next year. As you can imagine the competition was as high as we saw it all season long. Kids were flying all over the court, making big-time plays and leaving it all on the floor. I loved it and was super proud of the kids, coaches, and programs. In this article, I highlight some of the kids I saw as: The Top Wings.
