Operations Specialist
About the job:
The Operations Specialist is a member of the operations team and is responsible for a variety of tasks during the event season and off-season. This position will work on event staffing, logistics and shipping, travel arrangements, team communication and services, and strategic partner coordination to ensure seamless operations of events. This role requires effective communication skills, detail-oriented organizational skills, and the ability to follow a step-by-step plan while also being able to make quick decisions.
The result of the operations work should be the delivery of high-quality, memorable basketball events with a consistent GREATNESS experience across all locations—for teams, the host city, facility staff, our staff, and spectators.
Roles & Duties:
Travel to attend and lead basketball events during the spring/summer season (see annual schedule)
Travel approximately 40% of the time
Hire event staff and assignors
Train on-site and supervise all event staff, including site directors, table workers (scorebook and clock), gate admissions workers, assignors, and operational support staff
Host an all-staff meeting each morning during events
Coordinate travel logistics
Assist with office space organization and cleanliness
Support team invoicing, monitor payments, and follow up as needed
Maintain projects and tasks in the company system (currently Asana)
Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals
Perform other duties as assigned
Must relocate to Oklahoma City.

Scout (Part-Time / Freelance)
Summary
Scouts are responsible for identifying, evaluating, and amplifying high-level grassroots basketball talent at sanctioned events. Scouts serve as the eyes and voice at events, providing real-time player coverage, written analysis, and social media visibility while building relationships with players, coaches, and college recruiters.
This role requires strong basketball knowledge, time management, digital fluency, and professionalism in fast-paced tournament environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend assigned NXTPRO grassroots events within designated coverage areas.
- Adhere strictly to assigned weekend schedules, court assignments, and strategic viewing plans provided in advance.
- Watch games live and take detailed, accurate notes on player performance, roles, impact, and basketball traits.
- Evaluate players objectively through on-site coverage, live social media posting, and written analysis.
- Balance scouting, social coverage, and writing responsibilities to meet all assigned weekend deliverables.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of grassroots, high school, and AAU basketball, including player roles, team concepts, and in-game evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate players live and articulate observations clearly through social media and written analysis.
- Proven experience using Twitter/X and Instagram for real-time sports coverage and player-focused content.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, timely, and insightful articles.
- Ability to follow detailed schedules, coverage plans, and deliverable requirements in fast-paced event environments.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance live scouting, social posting, and writing responsibilities.
- Comfortable working long hours during tournament weekends, including early mornings and late evenings.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with players, coaches, parents, and event staff.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to deadlines and leadership expectations.
- Familiarity with grassroots basketball circuits.

NXTPRO Site Supervisor (Weekend Services)
Reports To: NXTPRO Operations Team / Operations Director
Summary
The NXTPRO Basketball Site Supervisor, as an independent contractor, oversees all on-site operations during league basketball games at an assigned facility. This position ensures a safe, positive, and organized environment for players, coaches, officials, and spectators. The NXTPRO Site Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for program participants, staff and officials, ensuring that league policies and procedures are followed and that games run smoothly and on schedule.

Essential Services
- Supervise and manage daily operations of assigned gym/Convention Center sites during the NXTPRO league (January-July).
- Point of emphasis: Monitor the gate admissions area and workers to ensure every person (excluding coaches, players, workers) pays their fee upon entry.
- Participate in mandatory Pre-Tournament Meetings with the NXTPRO Operations staff.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for participants, staff, and spectators.
- Enforce league rules, code of conduct, and facility guidelines.
- Oversee game schedules, scorekeeping, and equipment setup/cleanup.
- Serve as the on-site liaison between NXTPRO staff, coaches, officials, parents, and staff.
- Address and resolve conflicts, injuries, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
- Report incidents, attendance, and facility concerns promptly to the NXTPRO Operations Director or designee. Fill out an incident report for all injuries, incidents, and capture witness testimony – turn in to Operations Director.
- Support officials and coaches as needed to maintain positive sportsmanship and fair play.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 26 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an event coordinator, tournament director related role, or working with people in a leadership role
- Experience working in sports is preferred.
- Experience working with youth or in recreational/sports programming preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Basic knowledge of basketball rules and game flow required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Must pass a background check.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to walk significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required throughout the venue, as well as stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks.
- Must be able to work in moderate to loud environments.
Other Important Information
- Seasonal Independent Contractor (weekends) fee provided
- Provide 3 Puma tops that must be worn at the facility. Must wear khaki pants (no jeans).
- Provide flight and hotel and approved ground transportation and two provided meals at the facility each full day worked.

Producer: Streams (Part-Time)
Summary
This position will serve as a Stream Producer for the 2026 PRO16 season to oversee and operate all live game streams on the league’s YouTube channel. Producers will play a critical role in executing high-quality, reliable live broadcasts by managing production workflows, coordinating with on-site staff, and ensuring each stream meets PRO16 broadcast standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Run and manage all live PRO16 game streams on the league’s YouTube channel.
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot live stream workflows before and during games.
- Coordinate with broadcasters and on-site media staff to ensure smooth production execution.
- Manage stream switching, graphics, audio levels, and overall broadcast flow.
- Ensure each stream starts on time and adheres to PRO16 production standards.
- Monitor stream health, quality, and stability throughout each game.
- Communicate with event staff to resolve technical or operational issues in real time.
- Follow assigned production schedules and event run-of-show plans.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in live sports production, streaming, or broadcast operations preferred.
- Prior experience using OBS or Wirecast is preferred.
- Strong understanding of live streaming platforms, workflows, and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly in a live environment.

Broadcaster: Streams (Part-Time)
Summary
This position will serve as both a Play-by-Play Broadcaster and/or Color Commentator for the 2026 NXTPRO/PRO16 season. Broadcasters will provide live commentary for all NXTPRO and PRO16 YouTube live streams, with the opportunity for two (2) Peacock broadcasts per PRO16 weekend. This role plays a key part in elevating the on-court product and delivering an engaging viewing experience for athletes, families, coaches, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide live play-by-play and/or color commentary for NXTPRO and PRO16 games.
- Accurately describe game action, player performances, and key moments in real time.
- Collaborate with co-broadcasters and producers to ensure smooth, professional broadcasts.
- Prepare for games by reviewing team rosters, player backgrounds, and league context.
- Maintain an engaging, informative, and brand-aligned on-air presence.
- Adapt commentary style to the two (2) different platforms.
- Follow assigned broadcast schedules and production guidelines for each event weekend.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports broadcasting, commentary, media, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience using OBS or Wirecast is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball, including game flow, terminology, and strategy.
- Clear, confident, and professional on-air communication skills.
- Ability to work long event days and adhere to a fixed broadcast schedule during event weekends.
