Recent top performers

NXTPRO Hoops takes a look at some of the recent top performances around the state. Week two of the regular season saw a number of players turn in terrific games, and some multiple impressive games.

Here are some that caught our attention.

Chase Sucharda | 2023 | Wing | Newcastle

Sucharda had a big week two competing against Elgin and Bishop McGuiness. He is showing why he is one of the better scorers in the paint primarily as a high post guy against zones. He has the touch where he can flick it from nearly anywhere for a bucket. He also isnt afraid to crash the glass for easy points and meet people up top for blocks. Also made quite a few threes against Bishop McGuinness. Sucharda is officially in the 1k club and will look to end his high school career with a deep run in the playoffs.

21 points, and 7 rebounds against Elgin

25 points, and 13 rebounds against Bishop McGuinness

Rayden Churchill | 2023 | Wing | Anadarko

Churchill has been on a tear ever since he has come back from football. I witnessed him torch teams in the CCS tournament coming back from football and he continues to thrive. He has a football body with a basketball feel to his game. He was nearly unstoppable taking it to the rim and hitting a lot of jumpers with a hand in his face.

27 points, 6 rebounds,4 assists,s and 3 steals.

Christian Reed | 2023 | Guard | Elgin

Reed is a 6’5 Wing out of Elgin Oklahoma who just understands how to play the right way. He does a good job of taking what the defense gives him which results in a really efficient game. Against Altus, he scored the ball really well with a combination of jump shots and tough finishes in the lane.

21 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

Jervais Goree | 2024 | Guard | Preston

Goree didn’t have a specific game where he played really well but he is getting featured for reaching 1000 points with only six games into his junior season. I had the chance to catch him play against top-ranked Dale and he had a huge game and he looks to be primed for a big junior season.

Gunner Farley | 2023 | Forward | Eagletown

This will be Farleys second time being featured in one of our top performer features and there is a big reason why. He continues to fill the stat sheet with his versatility as a 6’8 forward who can do a multitude of things. In the Coleman Christam Classic, his team was awarded third place along with him being all-tournament team

Stats

30 points vs. Coleman
